Kali Rubaii from Friends of Sabeel North America (FOSNA) will be speaking at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. She will relate how Palestinian children are affected in conflict – drawing parallels with what is happening here at home- and how we can engage for positive change. Kali has lived and worked with children in Palestine, Iraq, Jordan, and California. Several of our Muslim and Jewish neighbors will be in attendance.
The event will also include a Middle Eastern light lunch prepared by Syrian refugees and a 12-panel informational poster exhibit. Palestinian handcrafts and olive oil will be available for purchase.

Col. Ann Wright, retired US Army colonel, diplomat who resigned from the US government in 2003 in opposition to the war in Iraq, and author of DISSENT, VOICES OF CONSCIENCE. Co-founder in 2010 of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition. Her presentation will focus on the deteriorating conditions in Gaza caused by the illegal blockade and on the ongoing international efforts to challenge Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza.
